Nina Wadia bans her kids from watching 'EastEnders'.
The 42-year-old actress - who plays interfering mother Zainab Masoud in the BBC One soap - revealed she doesn't let her two children, Tia, seven, and Aiden, three, watch her in action because she thinks they are too young to deal with the adult themes explored in the show.
She said: "I only let them watch very, very rarely if there's a particularly funny scene I'm in. They're too young. 'EastEnders' deals with some very adult-themed storylines.
"I'm always surprised by viewers who stop me in the street and say their little children love 'EastEnders'. Why do they let them watch it?"
Nina - who first shot to fame on BBC comedy sketch show 'Goodness Gracious Me' - admitted she always tries to inject as much humour as possible into her 'EastEnders' alter-ego.
She added to Soaplife magazine: "Every chance I get I try to inject some comedy into Zainab to make her as quirky as possible. She says it like it is and has no idea who rude and funny she is."
