MasterChef champ loves cheese and beer
'MasterChef' winner Tim Anderson's ultimate lazy meal is a ''hunk of cheese and a pint of beer'', but he also loves nothing more than eggs on toast.
'MasterChef' winner Tim Anderson's ultimate lazy meal is "a hunk of cheese and a pint of beer".
The 26-year-old bar manager - who was crowned champion of the BBC One cookery competition on Wednesday night (27.04.11) - admitted when he can't be bothered to rustle up a gastronomic delight, he opts for eggs and cheese.
He said: "When I'm being lazy at home I eat eggs. Eggs on toast. Just a hunk of cheese. A hunk of cheese and a pint of beer. I love that."
Tim - who was convinced he had said goodbye to his chances of winning the show when a souffle exploded while he was cooking alongside 'MasterChef' judge John Torode in Australia - admitted his kitchen experience Down Under was "terrifying".
He added to Digital Spy: "I had a disaster at the very worst time. Cooking with John was great, he was a great coach, but it was also really terrifying as it was so important to him as well.
"When those souffles went to pot, I just thought, 'This is it for me, it's over'."
