Shane Richie's wife has given birth to a baby girl.
The 'EastEnders' actor - who plays Alfie Moon in the BBC One soap - and his wife Christie welcomed their second daughter into the world yesterday (27.04.11), weighing in at exactly 6lbs.
Shane told HELLO! magazine: "We're delighted. She came out with full theatrical make-up on, and screaming!
"She looks just like her mum. Lovely."
The proud dad - who also has two sons, Shane Jr, 22, and Jake, 18, from his previous marriage to 'Loose Women' panellist Coleen Nolan - already has two children with Christie, five-year-old Mackenzie Blue and two-year-old Lolita Bell.
Shane, 47, recently admitted he and Christie decided to keep the pregnancy under wraps because it didn't seem appropriate to reveal it while discussing his alter-ego Alfie's baby swap plot.
The harrowing storyline saw Alfie and his wife Kat - played by Jessie Wallace - struggle to come to terms with the tragic loss of their baby Tommy to cot death, only to later find out disturbed Ronnie Branning (Samantha Womack) had swapped the tot with her own son James' lifeless body.
He explained: "People would keep asking me about the cot death storyline and it would have felt strange tagging on the end, 'Oh, and by the way, we're expecting a baby.' "
