Corrie's Michelle and Ciaran to return to cobbles together
Michelle Connor and Ciaran McCarthy are to return to 'Coronation Street' together after spending time working on a cruise ship.
Michelle Connor and Ciaran McCarthy are to return to 'Coronation Street' together.
The couple - played by Kym Marsh and Keith Duffy respectively - left Weatherfield earlier this year after Michelle made the last-minute decision to join her boyfriend on a cruise ship, and now they will come back to the Street together with their relationship still going strong.
Kym - who is currently on maternity leave following the birth of her daughter, Polly, in March - told Inside Soap magazine: "I'm due to return to work on 'Corrie' around September, and so is Keith Duffy. It makes sense for Ciaran and Michelle to return together, as viewers like them as couple."
Keith is looking forward to his return, saying: "I'm back in Manchester - please God if they give me a job back - on 15 September."
Although it is not known what happened during Michelle and Ciaran's time on the ship, there's speculation their relationship may have got even more serious and the pint-pulling pair are set to settle down together as they adjust to life back on the Street.
