'X Factor' stage manager to work royal wedding

The stage manager of 'The X Factor' is to film the royal wedding.
Diccon Ramsay, 27, is employed by Simon Cowell for the popular ITV1 talent show and is now set to make sure the ceremony's expected two billion viewers see every detail when Prince William and Kate Middleton say their nuptials in London's Westminster Abbey on Friday (29.04.11).
The expert has been asked by royal aides to use the same technical wizardry that he uses to make 'The X Factor' with 60 special cameras being brought in to capture every moment, which will be shown in the UK on BBC1.
Diccon - who started his career as a runner on 'The Trisha Show' - will be expected to capture every detail, from the emotions on famous guests' faces to 29-year-old Kate walking down the aisle.
A production source told The Sun newspaper: "This is the most nerve-wracking thing we have done for years, because a global audience of up to two billion will be watching if we get it wrong.
"This is a one-off, nothing can be missed. If Kate wells up during the ceremony, we need it in close-up and high definition. No wedding in history will have been covered like this."
Meanwhile, a BBC spokesman said the team is running technical rehearsals before the big day.
He said: "We will be taking part in rehearsals next week alongside all the other interested parties. We want to ensure all the cameras are correctly positioned to capture the magic of the day."
'The X Factor' host Dermoy O'Leary will also be involved in the historical event, having been hired by US network E! to cover the wedding.
