Amy Childs fears TOWIE sideline
Amy Childs reportedly fears she is being sidelined in the new series of 'The Only Way Is Essex', as show newcomers Joey Essex and Chloe Simms take centre stage
Amy Childs fears she is being sidelined in the new series of 'The Only Way Is Essex'.
The 20-year-old beauty - who shot to fame on the first season of the ITV2 show - reportedly went mad at 'TOWIE' bosses after realising newcomers Joey Essex and Chloe Simms were getting twice the screentime she was.
Friends of the ditzy redhead, who appeared in the last episode for a mere three minutes and 50 seconds, have revealed Amy is now concerned she will face the chop from the reality series altogether.
An insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "She had a massive diva moment. This show is everything to her and she is worried at how she is being projected. There's no doubt Amy's one of the stars of the show. But as the weeks go by she's turning into the invisible woman.
"Amy's aware people are jealous of her success and are trying to run her down."
However, Amy isn't the only 'TOWIE' star worried about being upstaged on the show.
Her former flame, nightclub manager Kirk Norcross, is reportedly blowing £10,000 on a fairground-themed birthday bash because he is fed up of being overshadowed by playboy rival Mark Wright, who has been a central feature of the show since his recent proposal to on-off girlfriend Lauren Goodger.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Kirk hasn't been used as much on the show lately and he wants to go all out to ensure he gets good screen time. Kirk has one thing over the other cast members and that is his dad's money.
"He really wants to splash the cash with a massive fairground party. Lauren and Mark's engagement party looked great on the TV with them riding on white horses but Kirk wants to go one better and this is the way forward. Kirk doesn't like the way the show seems dominated by Mark."
