Corrie's Chesney to stop abortion?
Coronation Street's Chesney Battersby-Brown will face a dramatic race against the clock in order to make it to the abortion clinic in time to prevent his girlfriend Katy from having an abortion
Coronation Street's Chesney Battersby-Brown will face a race against time to stop his girlfriend from Katy having an abortion.
Although the flame-haired teenager - played by Sam Aston - and his gorgeous girlfriend Katy Armstrong (Georgia May Foote) are delighted to be expecting a baby, Katy's father convinces her to terminate the pregnancy by making her think Chesney is not around because he doesn't want to be a dad.
However, unknown to them both, Chesney has actually been taken hostage by his sister Fiz's (Jennie McAlpine) unstable husband John Stape (Graeme Hawley) and is bound and gagged in the cellar of Alan (Michael McStay) and Dorothy Hoyle (Jean Fergusson), who he also holds captive as secrets about the three deaths he is involved in begin to unravel.
Eventually Fiz manages to free Chesney and the other hostages but it is a race against the clock for him to make it to the abortion clinic in time to prevent Katy's controlling father from getting his own way.
A show insider told the Daily Star newspaper: "John has caused the death and destruction of so many lives. Could Katy's unborn baby be yet another victim? Or maybe Chesney will get to her in time?"
