Chloe Madeley's Dancing On Ice school
Chloe Madeley compares her experience with judges and gossip on 'Dancing On Ice' to being back at school.
Chloe Madeley found her experience on 'Dancing On Ice' to being back at school.
The show's backstage gossiping and the way judges kept their distance from the contestants reminded the budding TV presenter - who finished third in this year's competition - of her younger days.
She told the Daily Mail newspaper: "I don't know if it's coincidence or deliberate, but the judges kept their distance from us. They kept themselves pretty separate. It's a bit like school.
"We all gossiped like mad. We moaned if we were on the receiving end, but when we found out something about someone else we'd all be huddled in the corner smoking and swapping titbits."
Chloe, 23, became the subject of on-set gossip herself, when it was revealed she had left her boyfriend Glenn Crickmar for fellow contestant Sam Attwater - who eventually beat her in the final to claim the show's top spot - although she's coy about how serious their relationship is.
She added: "The friendship with Sam just developed. We're practically the same age, we laugh at the same things and, of course, we have the skating in common. We've been thrown together now for months, and we will still be seeing each other every day on tour, so who knows where it's all leading?"
Chloe next stars in the 'Dancing On Ice' tour, which starts tomorrow (09.04.11) in Sheffield.
