Ant and Dec enjoyed extra auditions
Ant and Dec are pleased extra 'Britain's Got Talent' judges have been held because they uncovered some great ''jewels''
Britain's Got Talent's YouTube auditions have produced a "couple of jewels".
Show chief Simon Cowell ordered for further contestants to be seen after he was unhappy with the quality of talent already put through to the next round of the show, so after hopefuls were asked to post clips on the video sharing website, the best candidates then performed for judges Amanda Holden, Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff in Birmingham at the weekend.
Hosts Ant and Dec revealed on their blog: "We were back in Birmingham bright and early Sunday (03.04.11) morning for the last set of auditions for this year's show. These were the 'YouTube auditions', every performer had uploaded their video to YouTube and the best 20 were invited to audition in front of the judges and a packed theatre. It went very well and it seems we've uncovered another couple of jewels that ordinarily wouldn't have been seen."
Ant and Dec also admitted they think the judges will find it tough deciding who to put through to the live semi-final stage of the contest.
They added: "The difficult bit comes next week when the judges get together and deliberate over who should make it into the live semi-finals, that day is always a real nail biter!
"The show is looking good, the panel is fresh with Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff and there have been some great performances."
