Hugh Bonneville worried about Downton return
Hugh Bonneville has admitted he is worried about living up to the high standards of season one of 'Downton Abbey'
Hugh Bonneville is worried about the high expectations people have for the second series of 'Downton Abbey'.
While the 47-year-old actor - who plays wealthy heir Lord Grantham in the ITV1 show - thinks the season two scripts of the period drama are even better than the first, he and the rest of the cast are still worried about delivering better performances than ever.
He explained: "We started filming together recently and it was great to see everyone again and be back, see the gang. In my opinion, the scripts are as good, if not better than the last series.
"But we're also well aware of the expectation. We are well that we have got to keep ourselves on the top of our game and we're striving hard to do that and deliver."
Although Hugh wants the second season to be a surprise, he did admit viewers can expect some "big rollercoasters".
He added to Digital Spy: "There's various bits of things I can say, time has moved on, we're now in the First World War and there's going to be lots of changes around 'Downton Abbey'. We've got some lovely new members of cast and there are some big rollercoasters on the way and some big surprises."
