Tommy Duckworth to woo the Corrie ladies
Coronation Street's Tommy Duckworth will console himself over the death of his grandfather Jack by flirting with four different women.
Tommy Duckworth will flirt with four women during his first appearance in 'Coronation Street'.
The 19-year-old lothario - played by former 'Hollyoaks' star Chris Fountain - will return to Weatherfield for the first time since he was eight years old to discover his grandfather Jack Duckworth has died, but quickly consoles himself by getting close to a number of the street's foxy female residents.
Tommy - the son of criminal Terry Duckworth - first attempts to chat up lesbians Sophie Webster (Brooke Vincent) and Sian Powers (Sacha Parkinson), before quickly moving on to David Platt's (Jack P Shepherd) girlfriend Kylie Turner (Paula Lane), and finally setting his sights on brunette bombshell Tina McIntyre.
According to The Sun newspaper, although Tina (Michelle Keegan) has been in a relationship with butcher Graeme Proctor (Craig Gazey) for some time, she accepts Tommy's offer to watch a horror DVD, and doesn't object when he puts his arm around her.
Tommy has previously been described as having an eye for the ladies, and show bosses revealed he settles in well thanks to his "quick wit and easy charm".
Producer Phil Collinson said: "He has the perfect balance of looks and charm and will, I am sure, create a brilliant successor to Jack. The ladies of Weatherfield had better watch out!"
Chris, 23, is the third actor to portray the character - who was last seen on screen over 10 years ago - following in the footsteps of Darryl Edwards and Joseph Aston.
