Janice Battersby to cause Corrie havoc
'Coronation Street's Janice Battersby will cause chaos when she punches factory girl Julie Carp and soaks long time rival Eileen Grimshaw before leaving the street.
Coronation Street's Janice Battersby will cause havoc before she leaves Weatherfield.
The lairy loudmouth - played by Vicky Entwistle - will punch factory girl Julie Carp (Katy Kavanagh) and drench long time rival Eileen Grimshaw (Sue Cleaver) as her bin man boyfriend Trevor Dean convinces her to travel the world with him.
He tells her: "I'm leaving for good Janice, and I'm going to travel to everywhere. I've always wanted to and I'd like you to come with me if you fancy it."
According to the Daily Star newspaper, Janice agrees to leave with Trevor (Steve Jackson) after losing her job at knicker factory Underworld when she tries to convince her workmates to go on strike but gets her revenge when he intentionally drives through a deep puddle and soaks everyone as they leave.
It was recently revealed Vicky and Katy were injured and left covered in blood during filming of their onscreen fight.
A 'Corrie' insider said: "Katy sat there looking sorry for herself while Vicky soldiered on after being treated. It's an all-action plotline and will make for terrific TV.
"Things were calmed down eventually. But the scenes will have to be re-filmed and Katy's lip covered up to make it look normal again. Bosses take health and safety issues seriously and this should never have happened. There was a fight co-ordinator watching the action."
After announcing her decision to leave the soap last year, it was rumoured Vicky was quitting following clashes with executive producer Phil Collinson.
A show insider said at the time: "Phil is a brilliant producer but is uncompromising which makes him a bit like Marmite - people love him or find him very tough."
