'EastEnders' actor Ricky Norwood puts his National Television Award win last night (26.01.11) down to wearing his ''lucky cufflinks''.
Ricky Norwood puts his National Television Award win down to wearing his "lucky cufflinks".
The 'EastEnders' actor - who won Most Popular Newcomer for his role as Fatboy in the BBC One soap - believes carrying the lucky charms around with him during last night's (26.01.11) ceremony at London's O2 Arena ensured his success in the category.
He told BANG Showbiz: "I've got some lucky cufflinks I always wear but tonight my shirt has got buttons on it so I couldn't wear them. I can't be without them though so I made sure I put one in each pocket!"
Meanwhile, Ricky's girlfriend, Sugababes singer Jade Ewen, admitted seeing the actor pick up the award had made her long for a role in 'EastEnders' herself.
She explained: "I used to do a lot of acting so it's definitely something I'd like to go back to. If I were to be on a soap it would have to be 'EastEnders' because I'm an east Londoner.
"To play a mean girl would be fun. It's always fun to be a bit b****y I think, more interesting."
