'Mad for it' BGT judge David Hasselhoff
David Hasselhoff appeared as a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' for the first time yesterday (13.01.11), declaring he was ''mad for it''
David Hasselhoff declared he was "mad for it" during his first day of 'Britain's Got Talent' auditions yesterday ( 13.01.11).
The former 'Baywatch' hunk - who joined Amanda Holden and Michael McIntyre on the panel in Manchester - missed out on the London stage of the talent show because of his pantomime commitments.
After already appearing on the US version of the ITV1 series, the Hoff admitted the acts battling it out in the competition were "far crazier" than their American counterparts.
He said: "I'm mad for it in Manchester. You guys have some far better and far crazier talent here in the UK."
Meanwhile, existing judge Amanda Holden praised the new additions to the show - with Michael and the Hoff having replaced last year's Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell on the panel - and admitted the new format is working out well.
Writing on her twitter page, she said: "Great first day in Manc!!I think its working out well with the new boys! (sic)"
Simon Cowell will resume his position on the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel for the live stages of the show in the spring.
