Pregnant Amanda Holden vows to carry on with BGT
Amanda Holden is determined to continue working as a judge on 'Britain's Got Talent' and to star in a new production of 'Shrek: The Musical' despite announcing she is due to give birth to her second child in March.
Amanda Holden will continue her role on 'Britain's Got Talent' despite being six months pregnant.
The actress - who has worked as a judge on the talent show since 2007 -is expecting her second child in March but has vowed her pregnancy won't interfere with her busy work schedule of filming the ITV1 show and playing Princess Fiona in the new production of 'Shrek: The Musical', when it opens in the spring.
Writing on her twitter page Amanda said: "Just to let you know. I am 6 months pregnant with a baby boy!! Have had to keep it quiet until now!
"I'm still doing BGT and Shrek the musical. (sic)"
Amanda - who already has a four-year-old daughter, Lexi, with husband Chris Hughes - revealed she kept the news a secret for so long because she suffered a devastating miscarriage last year.
A statement on her website explained: "Amanda Holden and her husband Chris Hughes are delighted to announce that Amanda is six months pregnant with their second child.
"Their delight is increased by the fact that last year she tragically lost a baby.
"As they are sure everyone will understand they needed to get the all clear from the doctor before they shared their very happy news."
Amanda will be joined on the judging panel of the new series of 'Britain's Got Talent' by Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff after Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell left to concentrate on their new shows in America.
