The Drums predict turbulent 2011
The Drums expect 2011 to go wrong - but admit they would be more concerned if everything went smoothly
The Drums expect to "f**k up" in 2011.
The group - singer Jonathan Pierce, guitarist Jacob Graham, and drummer Connor Hanwick - were rocked by the departure of guitarist Adam Kessler in September but insist they would be more concerned if everything was going fine and problem free.
Jonathan said: "If 2011 starts to go smoothly, one of us will do something to f**k it all up, for sure. It's an uncomfortable feeling when it seems fine."
Jacob added: "We're gonna try hard to fade into obscurity. Next year will either be the most happy, joyous time in my life or the opposite. There won't be an in-between."
The trio also insist Adam's departure has made the band even stronger.
Jacob said: "Adam wasn't terribly involved with creative decisions, and before he left he was on a different page from the rest of us.
"So when he did leave, those barriers were broken with us three and we were able to flesh out ideas that maybe we were holding back because of that. It felt like we were stronger."
