Coronation Street's Sally Webster is to turn into a nagging housewife in a bid to put potential buyers off purchasing her home.
The hard-done-by mum - played by Sally Dynevor - will turn her well-kept home into a stinking pigsty and adopt the look of the ITV1 soap's legendary Hilda Ogden in the hope of keeping her family home as her split from cheating Kevin (Michael Le Vell) turns nasty.
In addition to donning a head scarf and rollers, the usually demure Sally will attempt to pass off scruffy neighbour Eddie Windass (Steve Huison) as her new boyfriend.
After kicking out Kevin after it emerged he had fathered a baby with tragic Molly Dobbs (Vicky Binns) - who was killed in the tram crash disaster - Sally decides to take the drastic action to prevent her from losing her marital home.
A 'Corrie' insider told The Sun newspaper: "These scenes will provide the comedy 'Corrie' is famous for and make a great change from the tragic scenes concerning the tram crash.
"To see Sally in her normally pristine home surrounded by household rubbish, dressed like Hilda Ogden, draped around the unkempt Eddie and talking like a dirty-mouthed trollop will be absolutely fantastic."
