James Corden to pen autobiography
'Gavin and Stacey' star James Corden is to write a tell-all autobiography after being offered a book deal reportedly worth over £1 million
James Corden is set to write an autobiography.
The 32-year-old 'Gavin and Stacey' star - who is expecting his first child next year - has signed a contract reportedly worth over £1 million with publishers Random House to pen a tell-all book about his life.
A friend of the star told The Sun newspaper: "James just said 'F**k it', it was a lot of money and why not? Loads has happened in his life people don't know about.
"He spent a lot of time living in New York when he was in the movie 'The History Boys'. They were great times. He might be 32 but there are a lot of stories to tell. He was an actor first and the fame came later. He's fiercely proud of his family and his humble upbringing and wants to get that across too."
Despite his young age, the actor and comedian will follow in the footsteps of a string of young stars who have released autobiographies of late, including 16-year-old singing sensation Justin Bieber and 'The X Factor' winner Matt Cardle, 26, whose book was released last week.
Matt - who shot to fame playing Smithy in BBC sitcom 'Gavin and Stacey', which he co-wrote with actress Ruth Jones - is currently expecting his first child with girlfriend Julia Carey.
He recently said: "We're both absolutely over the moon. We really couldn't be any happier."
