Frank Kelly's flirty Emmerdale alter-ego
Frank Kelly's 'Emmerdale' alter-ego will be a huge flirt with his eye on one Dales lady in particular.
Frank Kelly's 'Emmerdale' alter-ago will be one of the biggest flirts in the village.
The 71-year-old actor - who is best-known for his role as Father Jack Hackett in TV comedy 'Father Ted' - admitted his character Dermot Macey, the father of successful Home Farm businessman Declan (Jason Merrells), will be chasing one Dales lady in particular when he lands on the ITV1 soap tomorrow night (21.12.10).
He explained: "Well, I'll tell you what he is - he's a hell of a flirt! He fancies all the women, and he's getting information on one lady in particular.
"So I don't know where that might go, but he definitely has a twinkle in his eye and he's watching the ladies all the time!"
Frank also joked that the 'Emmerdale' cast and crew must be on "drugs", as they are some of the friendliest people he has ever worked among.
He added to Digital Spy: "It's one of the warmest families I've ever been in. It's amazing - I don't know what drug they're on, but it certainly works! Everybody - from the directors down - is very warm, welcoming, pleasant and supportive.
"I don't know how they achieve it, but they're really keen to keep it like that. And I think that comes through on the show."
