Michael McIntyre thinks he is the Cheryl Cole of 'Britain's Got Talent'.
The 34-year-old comedian - who is joining former 'Baywatch' hunk David Hasselhoff and Amanda Holden on the judging panel - believes he was picked by TV boss Simon Cowell to bring a touch of sexiness to the ITV1 show in a similar way to Cheryl's glamorous appearances on 'The X Factor'.
Michael said: "I am basically there to sex up the show. I will be like Cheryl on 'The X Factor'. People will be interested in what I wear."
The funnyman also joked that he is keen to be given the chance to show off his singing on 'BGT', as former contestant Susan Boyle did last year.
He added to Alan Carr on his 'Chatty Man' Channel 4 talk show: "You can't really say no to Simon. He is the king of business. I just hope I get a Susan Boyle moment."
Michael recently revealed he is trying to slim down for his new role because he is worried about looking fat on TV.
He said: "I don't want me to be standing there looking enormous, not being able to do up my jacket. I want to look svelte. I lost two stone and now I've put a stone back on.
"When I catch my face on TV I think, 'I look like that from the side? All that flesh and chin and those weird features on the front."
