Ann Widdecombe deserves Strictly prize
Professional dancer Lilia Kopylova thinks Ann Widdecombe and her partner Anton Du Beke should be given a prize for being the ''most entertaining couple'' to ever appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'
Lilia Kopylova thinks Ann Widdecombe should be given a prize for her 'Strictly Come Dancing' appearance.
The professional dancer believes the former Conservative minister - who narrowly missed out on a place in the BBC One show's semi-final - and her partner Anton Du Beke should be crowned "most entertaining couple ever".
Lilia explained: "I know Ann didn't make it to the final, but she definitely deserves her own prize! She and Anton should get a trophy for being the most entertaining couple ever to appear on 'Strictly Come Dancing'. Or at least, Anton should get a trophy for dancing with Ann!
"It's much harder to choreograph routines for contestants who can't dance. He did really well to get as far as he could with her and they made a great partnership. Unforgettable!"
The 32-year-old dancer - who is married to fellow 'Strictly' star Darren Bennett - thinks the series would have been "totally different" without the addition of Ann.
Lilia added to Reveal magazine: "Ann was incredible, the most brilliant entertainment of the whole series. Without her it would have been a totally different show - I would have watched the series just for her."
