Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff confirmed for BGT
Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff are to join the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel for the next series of the ITV1 show
Michael McIntyre and David Hasselhoff will join Amanda Holden on the 'Britain's Got Talent' judging panel.
The British comedian and the former 'Baywatch' hunk - who was thrown off 'America's Got Talent' for drinking earlier this year - have been confirmed as judges for the upcoming series of the ITV1 show, which will return to TV screens in early 2011.
While former judge Piers Morgan has left 'BGT' to replace Larry King on CNN's evening chatshow in the US, Simon Cowell will be returning to judge the show's live stages alongside Michael, David and existing judge Amanda.
Elaine Bedell, ITV director of entertainment and comedy, said: "Michael has established himself as one of the biggest names in comedy and entertainment in this country and, as someone who made his big breakthrough on the Royal Variety Performance, he knows exactly the pressures facing the acts on 'Britain's Got Talent'.
"As an actor, singer and producer, David Hasselhoff has been immersed in show business for many years. Alongside Michael, Amanda and of course Simon Cowell, he is a great addition to the judging panel for 2011."
Meanwhile, Michael - who hosted the 2010 Royal Variety Performance earlier this month - admitted he is a "massive fan" of the talent search show.
He added: "I'm a massive fan of 'Britain's Got Talent' and am extremely excited to be a judge on the new series. I was so thrilled when Simon Cowell asked me that I immediately wanted to run in to Ant and Dec's arms to celebrate!"
