Cher Lloyd determined to become a star
Cher Lloyd has revealed she will be working her ''hardest'' to make it in the music industry, despite not winning 'The X Factor'
Cher Lloyd will be working her "hardest" to make it in the music industry.
The 17-year-old rapper - who finished fourth in this year's 'X Factor' - is determined to become a star, and has vowed to do everything in her power to make it happen.
She said: "Lots of people have said things in the past few weeks - people in the UK and the US. But I'll be doing my hardest to work with the people I want to if I can and just do my own style of music.
"I've been writing a lot when I've been here, every minute I have had. I've got my notebook with me and I'm writing songs and practising. I'm going to work like you won't believe. I'm not going anywhere, I'm in this to make my music. I've had my stage and now I'm working."
While she has developed a reputation for being a stroppy over-confident teenager, Cher says she's nothing like her media image and is just grateful for being given a chance on 'X Factor'.
She told The Sun newspaper: "I'm one of the luckiest girls in the world right now. Anyone who complains needs to look at themselves and what's going on in the world and wake up. I've got nothing to moan about, have I?"
While Cher will be working her hardest to succeed, Black Eyed Peas star will.i.am - who performed alongside the teen rapper on Saturday night's (11.12.10) show - has already vowed to make her a star.
He said: "My fear is if she doesn't hook up with the right creative people she's going to end up being too bubblegum. I'd make edgy hip-hop with a bit of pop and electro thrown in.
"It would have to have lots of attitude but be melodic at the same time. She's like a ball of energy and I don't think she knows what to do with that energy."
