Gavin Henson fails to connect on Strictly semi-final
Gavin Henson came bottom of the leader board in the first semi-final show of 'Strictly Come Dancing' for failing to ''connect'' with the music last night (10.12.10)
Gavin Henson ended up at the bottom of the leader's board on the 'Strictly Come Dancing' semi-final.
The Welsh rugby star and partner Katya Virshilas were criticised for not "connecting" with the music during their Samba although he was praised for finally learning how to "rotate" his hips.
Judge Bruno Tonioli said: "I still feel you don't quite connect with the music all the way."
Craig Revel Horwood added: "The good thing is the rotation in the hips was well worth the 297.5 hours you have been rehearsing over the series."
Kara Tointon came top of the score board for her Viennese waltz with dancing partner - and rumoured boyfriend - Artem Chigvintsev, with 39 out of a possible 40 points.
Judge Alesha Dixon said: "I don't think you realise how good you are. That was simply beautiful."
Matt Baker and partner Aliona Vilani managed to gain just 28 points for their Salsa, with Revel Horwood describing it as "insipid" despite the pair receiving a standing ovation from the watching crowd.
All of the couples will dance on tonight's show (11.12.10) before two are eliminated tomorrow evening, ahead of next week's final on December 18.
