Joe McElderry thinks 'The X Factor' final is wide open this year, and while Cher Lloyd is his favourite act, he believes One Direction or Matt Cardle will pip her to the post.
Joe McElderry thinks 'The X Factor' final is wide open.
The 19-year-old singer - who won last year's series - explained while "quirky" Cher Lloyd is his favourite act, he thinks Matt Cardle or One Direction will win the ITV1 show this time around.
He said: "I think they're really good - I think it's going to be an exciting final and very hard to choose who's going to win. I love Cher - I think she's great, quirky and fun.
"Rebecca has got a fantastic recording voice. One Direction have got that huge fan base and everyone goes crazy for them. There's loads of hype around them. Matt's voice is incredible and he makes the songs his own, which is really important.
"Cher's my favourite. But who do I think is going to win? I'd probably say Matt or One Direction."
Elsewhere in 'The X Factor' camp, Matt Cardle is rumoured have chosen Biffy Clyro's 'Many Of Horror' as his first single should he be crowned winner of the show on Sunday (12.12.10).
While in previous series all finalists have had to master the same track, this year they will all perform different songs, which they will release if they win the show.
