Hollyoaks' Jacqui McQueen will find herself in a difficult position when bad boy Danny Houston makes her an indecent proposal, which could help the troubled McQueen family to wave goodbye to their woes for good.

'Hollyoaks' will feature an 'Indecent Proposal'-style storyline in its upcoming late night special.

Guest starring Donna Air, 'Hollyoaks: King of Hearts' will see Jacqui (Claire Cooper) put in a very compromising position when she tries to find the £2,000 her scheming aunt Kathleen (Alison Burrows) is demanding in order to keep her murderess daughter Theresa's (Jorgie Porter) secret under wraps.

With the bitter blonde threatening to tell the police Theresa was behind Calvin's (Ricky Whittle) murder, the McQueen family are getting desperate for cash.

Claire exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It's Jacqui yet again putting herself on the line for her family and trying to resolve this situation with Theresa and ending up in plenty of tricky situations. Either her whole family goes to jail or she resolves the situation by doing something truly horrible."

Jacqui and secret lover Rhys (Andrew Moss) hatch a plan to cheat local bad boy Danny Houston (Darren Day) at a game of poker.

However, when he finds out he is being double-crossed by the devious duo, Danny demands one night with the bolshie brunette in return for wiping their slate clean.

Darren added to BANG Showbiz: "It's completely about revenge. The last thing Danny said to Jacqui was, 'I'm going to make you pay for this in a way you wouldn't believe'. He sees this as the perfect opportunity to carry out his revenge.

"He's threatening, he's a bully, it's dark - it was very fun to play out."

Whether Jacqui succumbs to Danny's demands remains to be seen, but the events which unfold throughout the course of the episode are likely to pave the way for a very dark Christmas for some of the Hollyoaks characters.

'Hollyoaks: King of Hearts' will air on Channel 4 on December 16.
