Cher Lloyd is "frightened to death" at the prospect of performing in this weekend's 'X Factor' final.

The 17-year-old hopeful - who has found herself in the bottom two on two separate occasions - admitted she is so terrified on stage that she has thought about running away from the competition altogether at times.

She explained: "I'm frightened to death. Before every performance I'm a nervous wreck. I get to the point where I think I can't perform and I want to run away. But I'm not going to lie - I have never ever wanted something so bad in my whole life."

However, the teenage rapper admitted her cocky demeanour is just part of her performance style, and winning 'The X Factor' is actually her "life".

Cher added to X Magazine: "People misjudge me - I think they may think that I'm cocky and that I'm not scared - but it's the opposite.

"Please don't think I'm cocky or arrogant. I'm just being me, and that's just my performance. I don't think people realise how much this means. To some people it's a TV show. But to us it's our life."
