Tinie Tempah has been in talks with Take That about supporting them on their 'Progress' tour.

The reformed group - consisting of Gary Barlow, Robbie Williams, Mark Owen, Howard Donald and Jason Orange - will perform a string of sold-out stadium shows next year and the rapper is keen to be involved.

He said: "We spoke about it and I will know more over the next few months. The tour is a very exciting prospect. I would jump at it in an instant."

As well as being a support act to the band, Tinie also wants to work with songwriter Gary on his second album.

The 'Pass Out' hitmaker added: "Gary told me he'd love to have been on my single 'Written In The Stars' so I asked him to be on the next album. He is up for it."

Tinie has gone from a virtual unknown at the beginning of the year to become a platinum selling artist in the UK with his debut album 'Disc-Overy' and he has even attracted the attention of US rap mogul Jay-Z - who reportedly wants to hold talks with him about bringing him to the US.

Speaking about Tinie, Jay said: "If he wants to be really, really super successful he should come and see us. I've been hearing about him for a minute and I'm really happy about the music that's being made over in the UK."

Take That

The prototype boy band have re-lit their own fire and returned to cash in those nostalgia dollars, and have proved far more credible than any of us could have imagined. Now reduced to a three-piece as Jason Orange bows out but Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald soldier on.
