Nicole Scherzinger is backing Rebecca Ferguson to win 'The X Factor'.

The Pussycat Dolls beauty - who appeared on the ITV1 show as a guest judge during the auditions stage of the competition - admitted she is amazed at how the contestants have "transformed" from when she first saw them sing.

She said: "I was always a big fan of Rebecca, I told Simon that she was like the songbird of our time. I just think she has a really classic voice and just lovely and I told her before I just want her to enjoy it more because when you enjoy it then we enjoy it.

"All the contestants went from this audition to being completely transformed - there's a lot of production and stuff and this is such a great amazing launching pad for them, whether they win or not.

"Who do I think could win it? It's hard because I do like everyone - Mary sounded amazing and I liked Cher a lot - she has a really great voice, but I just have fondness for Rebecca. Her voice I just think is so classic."

The 'Poison' singer explained she now sees the 'X Factor' judges - Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue - as her "second family", and she enjoyed returning to the show on Sunday night (28.11.10).

Nicole added to ITV1's 'This Morning': "I feel like 'The X Factor' is my second family. Everybody is really really nice there and it was good to see everyone - although I didn't get to see Louis when I was back there, but I got to meet Cheryl and Dannii and got to see Simon."
