X Factor gag for Wagner
'X Factor' reject Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho has reportedly been banned from appearing on TV amid fears his unpredictable comments could damage the reputation of the show.
Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho has been banned from appearing on TV.
The eccentric Brazilian - who was eliminated from 'The X Factor' on Sunday (28.11.10) after losing out in the sing-off to Mary Byrne - has reportedly been ordered by show bosses to keep quiet amid fears his unpredictable comments could damage the reputation of the series.
Despite Katie Waissel - who was also booted off the ITV1 show on Sunday - making appearances on 'Daybreak' and 'This Morning' yesterday, Wagner was nowhere to be seen.
An insider told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "Wagner was banned from speaking to the other contestants on Sunday and yesterday they turned down dozens of media requests because they were worried what he might say.
"Wagner could say anything at any time so it looked like an accident waiting to happen. They spent the day giving him advice so that when he does speak he won't damage the show's image. He was effectively gagged. No other contestant had this treatment this series."
However, the gag hasn't stopped the 54-year-old hopeful from blasting his mentor Louis Walsh and fellow contestant Matt Cardle.
He told a friend: "I turned to Louis for help but he did nothing. They made me out to look like a clown. I'm not happy with the way the other contestants behaved towards me. In particular Matt, who caused me the most grief."
