Lembit Opik voted out the jungle

Lembit Opik became the second person to be voted out of the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' camp last night (26.11.10).
The former MP had failed to entertain viewers or campmates with his attempts at humour and found himself one of the two least popular in the public phone vote, alongside Olympic runner Linford Christie.
After waving goodbye to his campmates after 14 days in the jungle, he crossed the rope bridge between camp and the normal world and joined show hosts Ant and Dec to discuss his experience.
He told them: "It feels really strange to be out. There's a real sense of team spirit in there so I'll miss them but I'll see them in a week so it's not too bad."
45- year-old Lembit - who was bitten by a snake during one task - also said the show taught him a lot about survival.
He added: "I now know I can survive the jungle. Secondly, I know I can survive in times of relative hardship and thirdly, I've never been bitten by a snake before!"
He added that the bite helped him conquer his fear of serpents, saying: "I didn't scream then, and I've still got the scars.
"The one thing I found out about jungle wildlife is that I was afraid of snakes - so I couldn't believe a snake had bitten me, so I'm not so afraid of snakes any more."
The Liberal Democrat politician - who was second to leave the jungle after Sheryl Gascoigne - was then reunited with his girlfriend, Merily McGivern, and told the hosts he was looking forward to eating kippers.
