Young Rebel Set's gang spirit
Seven piece folk band Young Rebel Set have a ''gang spirit'', but admit they have come to blows in the past
Young Rebel Set have a "gang spirit", but admit they have come to blows in the past.
The seven piece folk-pop outfit have two sets of brothers in the group, and admit touring can be cramped affair as they share one van - which means things can get a little heated between them every so often.
Guitarist Andy Parmley exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "We've come to blows in the past, but not for a while. My brother almost broke his hand when he was punching me one time.
"We tend to have one major blow out every six to nine months, then you just forget about it and go write some more music.
"We don't really argue that much, but if we do, we have a fight then calm down afterward, we just forget about it."
'Measure of a Man' hitmaker Andy said that the same reasons they end up fighting are also behind why they're able to make up again so quickly.
He added: "With there being two sets of brothers in the band, and having known each other for a while, it's very familiar, very close knit. It's very much the gang spirit."
Andy also said the worst injuries sustained aren't from in-fighting, on-stage antics or drunken mishaps, but from wayward footballs.
He explained: "We played a football match against some promoters and I was in goal because I'm lazy. So I saved the ball - well I say I saved it, I just stood there when it was kicked at me - and it hit me in the hand. For about three days I thought I'd broke it. I could hardly play my guitar."
'Measure of a Man' is available now, while the band has completed their debut album, which they hope to release next year.
