Christopher Farrell sacked from The Apprentice
Former Royal Marines sniper Christopher Farrell became the eighth candidate to be fired from 'The Apprentice' on last night's (23.11.10) show
Christopher Farrell was given the boot by Lord Alan Sugar on last night's (23.11.10) 'The Apprentice'.
The former Royal Marines sniper - who travelled to Germany for this week's task - was told by the multi-millionaire business magnate that he did not have the "spark of entrepreneurial genius" he was looking for.
Delivering his verdict, Lord Sugar said: "Christopher, you do work hard, there's no question of that. My concern is that you perhaps don't have that spark of entrepreneurial genius that I'm looking for. You're not for my organisation so you're fired!"
Despite the Cheshire-based mortgage broker being the fired candidate, project manager Chris Bates' neck was also on the line.
Lord Sugar told him: "Chris this is the sixth time you've been on a losing team. Is this a message that I'm getting from above somewhere - that you're a loser? What can I say about someone who has been on a losing team so many times. I'm not sure whether I can risk it anymore."
Christopher admitted he was "gutted" to be leaving the BBC One show, as he felt he could have gone "a lot further" in the entrepreneurial competiton.
The 28-year-old businessman said: "I'm absolutely gutted to have gone. I think I could have got a lot further but it's something which I'm going to have to deal with, learn from and overcome."
