Controversial ‘X Factor’ contestant Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho claims people who boo him are “with the devil”.

The 54-year-old singer gets a negative response from the audience of the ITV1 talent show every time he gets voted through to the next round, but he won’t let it affect him as he claims they are just jealous.

He said: “If someone doesn’t like me, it’s OK. I just pray for their souls because if someone doesn’t someone it only damages them. It doesn’t affect me. I’m with God and if someone is with the devil, go and stay in his company if you want.”

As well as being booed by the audience, Wagner has been criticised by his fellow contestants Matt Cardle and One Direction and while he was upset by their comments, he insists he won’t retaliate with violence.

He told X magazine: “They said the f-word so many times the sentences were making no sense. What they are expecting is that I will lose my temper. I’m not going to slap every idiot that comes my way.”

However, Matt has now admitted he regrets his outbursts, which came after his close pals Aiden Grimshaw and Paije Richardson left the show.

He said: “I have been a little bit outspoken but I think it is time to shut up. It’s no one’s fault and I understand that.

“I am not being a b***h it is just hard when my guys are going.

“I lost Aiden and then lost Paije so I got angry. If I offended anyone I am sorry.”
