Gillian McKeith forced to hand over contraband food items
Gillian McKeith has confessed she was ''proud'' of smuggling contraband into the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' camp in her knickers after being caught by TV chiefs
Gillian McKeith has been forced to hand over food items she smuggled into the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' camp.
The TV nutritionist was called to the Bush Telegraph to relinquish her stash of herbs, spices and teabags - whish she had concealed in her underwear - after producers warned her campmates would lose meals if she didn't give up the banned foodstuffs.
As she handed over the bags, Gilliam said she was "proud" to have defied the ITV1 show's strict rules by smuggling banned goods by sewing special pockets into her knickers.
She said: "I smuggled it all in my knickers, I have a small bottom and I just grew it a bit when I came in here. I had special pockets in my Marks & Spencer's knickers that I made myself.
"I feel proud of the fact I smuggled all this contraband in my knickers, I had a lot more but I've used it.
"Do you think I was going to come here without any flavour? You must be mad. That's why the dishes tasted so good, I could happily eat the food without flavour, but I did it for the team. They really appreciated it.
"It was hard to keep it a secret."
Gillian - whose erratic behaviour in the camp including claiming she is pregnant has sparked concerns about her welfare - was seen on screen earlier this week sprinkling powder over her food.
But producers finally demand she hand it over when Stacey Soloman asked her for some "special stuff" to go with her lunch.
