Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho has revealed he ''begged'' to leave the ''unhygienic'' 'X Factor' house.

Wagner Fiuza-Carrilho "begged" to leave the 'X Factor' house.

The 54-year-old Brazilian - who was reportedly kicked out of the residence the contestants share - explained he asked bosses of the ITV1 show if he could move to a hotel because the house was "unhygienic".

He explained: "I begged to get out of the house. It's better for hygiene. The house is just disgusting. I was putting too much weight on - I asked for a hotel with a swimming pool."

The controversial contestant - who has been booed by audiences for his out-of-tune performances - admitted the negative reaction he has experienced from some members of the public doesn't bother him at all.

Wagner said: "All my life people either hate me or love me - no-one is indifferent to me. I just pray for their souls because if someone doesn't like someone it only damages them. It doesn't affect me, I'm happy with myself.

"The only explanation for the booing is absence of love and a presence of fear and jealousy. The people that boo me don't affect me whatsoever. I am like a rock and they are like the waves crashing into the rock and breaking into pieces."

The aspiring star also claimed he isn't bothered that fellow hopefuls Matt Cardle and One Direction's Louis Tomlinson have publicly badmouthed him, as they are only making him "more famous".

He added to X Magazine: "I think it's very sad that instead of talking about themselves, they are making me even more famous. When they came to insult me in person all they wanted was for me to lose my temper. I've never done anything to them and I don't vote for myself."
