The curvy 'This Morning' presenter - who is no stranger to reality TV after appearing on 'Big Brother' in 2002 - admitted she has similar motivations to Jenny Eclair, as she hopes to lose some weight while faced with basic rations in the Australian jungle.
She said: "It's not the best way to lose weight, but it would be great to lose a stone. I've been on a diet for the last six weeks and I have already lost a stone and a half, so if I can lose some more pounds, that will be fantastic.
"I can't wait to be smaller and I really hope I will then be able to keep the weight off! Being in the jungle will give me time to think about why I do overeat."
However, the bubbly star won't be entering the most harmonious of camps, as tensions have already started to mount now Camp Sheila and Camp Bruce have merged.
TV nutritionist Gillian McKeith - who has been notoriously fussy ever since she entered the jungle - angered fellow contestants by eating a passion fruit the boys were saving for a meal.
Tension then reached boiling point when Gillian shouted at Olympic gold medallist Linford Christie for eating some cabbage she had wanted to keep for her breakfast.
Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder immediately broke his self-imposed swearing ban, launching into a foul-mouthed tirade at the stunned Scot.
He yelled: "You just walked into out camp and ate our f***ing passion fruit so shut up about your f***ing cabbage. You don't walk into someone's camp and just scram the passion fruit without asking. What sort of person does that? F**k off!"
