Harry Potter star to appear in Merlin
'Harry Potter' star Harry Melling is to make a guest appearance in BBC One's medieval drama 'Merlin' this Saturday (20.11.10)
Harry Melling is to guest star in 'Merlin'.
The 'Harry Potter' actor - who played spoiled bully Dudley Dursley in the wizard franchise - is due to play Camelot newcomer Gilli in Saturday night's (20.11.10) installment of the BBC One drama.
While the 21-year-old star admitted doing his own stunts for the show was "great fun", it meant he had to put up with being attacked by bigger men with larger weapons than his own.
Harry explained: "I did get involved with the stunts, yes. Because I was involved in a fighting tournament I had a little shield and a little sword and basically got hit by bigger men with bigger swords.
"It was great fun and beautifully choreographed. I did a lot of rolling about in mud."
After playing a character who is coming to terms with his own magical powers, the actor admitted it made him keen to develop some kind of time machine to stop him from being late.
He said: "If I could have any magical power it would be clicking my fingers and being able to be anywhere like that. I am a really bad traveller, I hate travelling and I hate being late so I just figured if I could just click my fingers and be somewhere then that would be great!"
Harry Melling will guest star in BBC One's 'Merlin' on November 20.
