Aiden Grimshaw broke down in tears after being eliminated from 'The X Factor' last night (14.11.10).
The 18-year-old hopeful - who shocked fans after losing out to Katie Waissel in the public vote - revealed he used fellow contestant Matt Cardle as a shoulder to cry on after his fate was decided on the ITV1 show.
He said: "I had a beer or two. I'm OK, last night I had a bit of a sob with Matt, but I'll get over it, I think. I think you've always got to expect you are going to be in the bottom two and prepare. It is what it is, you win some, you lose some."
Despite losing out to controversial Katie - who was in the bottom two for the fourth time - Aiden admitted seeing her being booed by the show's audience wasn't a nice experience.
He explained: "You just try and sing the best you can. People thought she was better, she got more votes so it's fair but it's not nice to watch someone get booed."
The Blackpool-based singer also thought he was lucky to get as far as he did in the talent competition, as he had never seen himself as "an 'X Factor' fella".
Aiden added to ITV1's 'Daybreak': "I don't think of myself as an X Factor fella, and I've been lucky to get as far as I have."
