Stacey Solomon's blonde 'I'm A Celebrity' ambition
Ditzy former 'X Factor' contestant Stacey Solomon thinks taking part in 'I'm A Celebrity' will be easy because she believes she can do anything since dying her hair
Stacey Solomon has compared taking part in 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!' to dying her hair.
The former 'X Factor' contestant - who has flown out to the Australian jungle to compete in the gruelling ITV1 reality show, where celebrities have to camp and compete against each other in Bushtucker Trials - believes she can do anything since dying her hair.
The ditzy singer told the Daily Mail: "Oh, I know I'll be eating cockroaches. But if you tell yourself you can do it, you'll do it. I really believe that.
"It's a stupid example, but naturally my hair is almost jet black. No matter how many people said, 'You cannot go blonde, it will go green', I had to go bleached blonde. I could not have people tell me, 'You can't'. How can you say that? How do you know?"
Stacey - who has now reverted to her natural dark hair colour - is hoping positive thinking will help her cope in the jungle, saying: "I really believe that if you think in your head, 'I will go blonde, I can go blonde, I'm going to go blonde', and say to someone, 'Bleach my hair, that's what I want', then you will go blonde because you think it. You've got to think it. Think positive."
Stacey - who says she is taking part in the competition to provide a better life for her two-year-old son Zac - also admitted she is hoping to impress her fellow contestants by winning food for them in the tough Bushtucker trials.
She said: "It's going to be fun. Imagine cooking together and doing tasks together. Everything we do, we do together. If I get a star, people might clap. That's what I keep thinking about, coming back to camp with lots of stars."
The 10th series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here' kicks off on ITV1 tomorrow (14.11.10).
