Katie Waissel feuding with Cheryl Cole
'X Factor' contestant Katie Waissel upset Cheryl Cole by refusing to sing her mentor's choice of song on the show tonight (13.11.10)
Katie Waissel has angered her 'X Factor' mentor Cheryl Cole by rejecting the song chosen for her.
The controversial 24-year-old - who narrowly escaped elimination from the ITV1 show for the third time after finding herself alongside Treyc Cohen in the bottom two last week - was tipped to sing 'The B***h is Back' tonight (13.11.10) but will now sing 'Saturday Night's Alright For Fighting'.
'X Factor' insiders revealed Katie thought Cheryl's song choice was a dig at her and refused to sing it.
Katie tried to play down the controversy, telling The Sun: "There were a couple of songs put forward to me. I liked the fighting spirit of the songs, but one goes a little too far. Do you know what? You can push things too far."
However a source close to Cheryl said: "Cheryl has been livid with the way she's been acting. She's done her best to help her, but she still gets this rude backchat from her.
"To say Katie is a diva is putting it mildly - she's a complete nightmare. She is so rude to people and treats staff on the show like dirt."
Cheryl is not the only 'X Factor' judge Katie has angered, Simon Cowell is also said to be furious over her new song choice.
A source close to Simon explained to the Daily Mirror: "Simon and a lot of the bosses on the show think she has made a mistake.
"Katie thinks she knows best , better than the show bosses so more fool her."
Tonight's 'X Factor' show will feature the contestants singing Elton John hits.
