Gillian McKeith is so terrified of spiders she usually calls out a taxi firm to get rid of them.

The TV nutritionist - who will come to face to face with creepy-crawlies as one of 10 celebrities entering 'I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here' on Sunday (14.11.10) - has revealed she once fainted after spotting an insect, and listed her phobias as "anything that moves, water and heights".

She said: "I have had a serious phobia of anything that moves since I was a child. When I see anything that moves, something takes over me. It's involuntary and irrational but I am terrified.

"I have fainted several times too and I have been known to call a taxi when I have seen a spider in my house and pretended I was going somewhere. I'd then get the driver to help me get the spider out of the house."

The Scottish TV star has also admitted to suffering from nightmares since she signed up to appear in the ITV1 show.

Gillian added: "I have had nightmares about all of this. I've woken up with ants crawling all over me. I am sure I will scream. I don't want to but I just can't help it."

However, her bad dreams are likely to become reality after the 'I'm A Celeb' camp near Queensland, Australia, has been invaded by leeches.

Heavy rain has brought the blood-sucking creatures into the muddy camp, which bosses are now frantically trying to clean up before the weekend.

An insider explained: "The leeches are everywhere. We like to make the camp uncomfortable for the celebs but even we didn't come up with this."
