EastEnders' Stacey Branning is to confess she killed Archie Mitchell.
The troubled mum - played by Lacey Turner - will be forced to confide in Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) that she murdered the Walford villain after the youngster goads her into coming clean.
With everyone in Albert Square believing Stacey's late husband Bradley (Charlie Clements) was to blame, Lauren makes sure she records the confession on her mobile phone to prove her brother was not the murderer.
Lacey explains: "Stacey's stunned. It comes out of the blue and she freezes with fear. At first she denies it but Lauren goads her until it's too much and Stacey blurts out the truth.
"In a strange way there's also this sense of relief as Stacey's struggled to live with the guilt of what she did."
With the character is left terrified at the prospect of what could happen now Lauren knows her secret, she turns to Bradley's dad Max (Jake Wood) to trick the troublesome teen into handing over her phone.
Lacey adds to Soaplife magazine: "Max has been there for her since Bradley died. He tells her he'll sort it with Lauren and she trusts him. But after Lauren hands over her phone he tells Stacey to stay away.
"He's only saying it because Lauren is listening in but Stacey doesn't know that. She can't deal with not having Max on her side and leaves Walford."
