Bullying victim Cher Lloyd
'X Factor' hopeful Cher Lloyd is reportedly being bullied by her fellow female contestants, who keep making ''snide comments'' about her performances.
Cher Lloyd is being bullied by her fellow female 'X Factor' contestants.
The 17-year-old aspiring star is said to have suffered a "meltdown" in the first week of the show's live performances, due to "snide comments" from the other female hopefuls on the ITV1 competition.
Grace Woodward, X Factor's fashion director, explained: "Cher's only 17 and is still working out who she is. She had a real meltdown in the first week because of the snide comments made by some of the other female acts.
"It feels like school backstage, with the b******g and general confidence-knocking tactics."
However, Cheryl Cole - Cher's mentor on the programme - has been instrumental in rebuilding the teenage singing sensation's confidence by lending pieces from her personal collection to the young starlet.
Grace added: "Cheryl had to rebuild her self-esteem, so she lent her some boots."
Judge Louis Walsh - who appears on the show's panel with Dannii Minogue, Cheryl and Simon Cowell - also admitted he has also noticed the contestants not getting on behind the scenes, adding there is a "lot of fakery".
He explained: "They all pretend they like each other, but there's a lot of fakery. They've watched the show, so they're being clever about it - they want to be liked."
