Cheryl Cole's X Factor girls at war?
Cheryl Cole's 'X Factor' acts have been fighting over alleged favouritism from the Girls Aloud star.
Cheryl Cole's 'X Factor' acts have been at "each other's throats".
The Girls Aloud star - who this year mentors the girls' category, consisting of Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel, Treyc Cohen and Rebecca Ferguson - has been accused by the girls of "abandoning" them by going to Los Angeles house hunting this week and allegedly got into a huge fight during rehearsals for the live show tonight (06.11.10).
A source told The Sun newspaper: "It all got very nasty. The girls were at each other's throats - and Cheryl's.
"She couldn't believe what was going on. She'd only been gone a few days. Cheryl's been texting Katie quite a lot as she's been on the edge this week and Cher is quite needy too.
"But the other two interpreted this as favouritism and there were some really ugly scenes. At one point, Cheryl threw her hands up in the air and screamed, 'Enough!' "
Tensions in the studio became so bad the show's boss Simon Cowell has suggested a day off for the group so they can be apart from each other.
He is reported to have said: "This lot are driving me mad. I want them to take Tuesday off and just go and spend a day apart."
Tonight's 'X Factor' show features the theme 'American Anthems'.
