Alex Reid's family envy
Alex Reid feels ''broody'' and is ''envious'' of couples with lots of children
Alex Reid is "envious" of couples who have big families.
The cage fighter - who has undergone two unsuccessful attempts at I vitro fertilisation (IVF) with wife Katie Price - loves his spouse's children from previous relationships, Harvey, eight, Junior, five, and Princess, three, but is "broody" for his own children.
He explained: "I'm really envious of people with big families - I'm the youngest of six. I see Harvey, Junior and Princess and, I'll be honest, I'm envious. As much as I love them, I want my own little things. I'm broody."
Alex also revealed while he tries to act as a "role model" to the youngsters, he finds fulfilling his role as stepfather a difficult task as he doesn't want to upset the youngest kids' dad Peter Andre.
He added: "I try to be supportive and a good role model to them, but I try to be sensitive and respectful of the fact they have a dad who loves them and is great with them.
"It is difficult for any stepdad, as you can't get as close because they have a real dad - especially when the real father is so prominent in their lives. I have to remember that all the time and it can be tricky.
"You just have to be as loving and supportive as you can be, and that's my role and that's great. I accept that, but it can be upsetting too."
Harvey's father, soccer star Dwight Yorke, has little involvement in his life.
