Cher Lloyd's 'X Factor' doubts
Cher Lloyd has admitted she had reservations about entering 'The X Factor' because she thought her street style made her ''stick out like a sore thumb''
Cher Lloyd was unsure about entering 'The X Factor' to begin with.
The 17-year-old hopeful - who wowed judges with her performance of Shakespeare's Sister track 'Stay With Me' on Saturday night (30.10.10) - admitted she had her reservations about entering the talent competition because she felt her street style made her "stick out like a sore thumb".
She explained: "I didn't know how to make it any other way. I didn't have anyone to help me out. To be honest, the first audition I did I turned to my mum and said that I didn't want to do it. I stuck out like a sore thumb. And now I'm so glad I stayed."
Despite being at the centre of romance rumours surrounding herself and other contestants on the ITV1 show, Cher maintained she wouldn't do anything to jeopardise her chances in the competition, and she has a crush on British rap artist Tinchy Stryder anyway.
She said: "Seriously I don't think anyone in the right mind would jeopardise their career for that, do you really think? Nah, I fancy a bit of Tinchy Stryder."
The aspiring star also revealed while she doesn't think she can win 'The X Factor', she is sure she will make it in the music industry when the show comes to a close in December.
Cher added to X Magazine: "I've got to make it, there's no way I can't. I know I'm not going to win it, I'm not expecting to win it. There's bigger and better people out there."
