Tina O'Brien 'dumped' by Strictly
Tina O'Brien admits she feels as though she has been ''dumped'' following her elimination from 'Strictly Come Dancing' last night (31.10.10)
Tina O'Brien feels as if she has been "dumped" following her elimination from 'Strictly Come Dancing'.
The former 'Coronation Street' actress - who became the fourth star to leave the BBC One show last night (31.10.10) - admitted she is "heartbroken" to have left the competition, as it gave her a new-found confidence.
She said: "I'm just so sad. I'm going to miss it so much. I feel like I've been dumped today. I'll be in my pyjamas later on, eating ice cream and watching trashy films and listening to sad music. I feel heartbroken. I do. My heart really hurts and I'm going to miss it so much.
"It has been by far the happiest experience of my life. I can't even tell you, it has meant so much to me. At times, it was the scariest thing I've ever done, going out in front of 11 million people on live TV is really scary. But I found a new confidence within myself that I didn't really think I had."
The 27-year-old star also revealed during her time on the show she developed an "obsessive" girl crush on former 'EastEnders' actress Kara Tointon, who she thinks deserves to win.
Tina added to Digital Spy: "I just love Kara so much. She's possibly the most beautiful girl I've ever met and I just stare at her obsessively. But she is also the most lovely girl, there is no agenda there with her and she's totally genuine.
"I think she totally deserves to win and she is working so hard. I really hope she does well."
