Patsy Kensit dances through heartbreak
Patsy Kensit said appearing on 'Strictly Come Dancing' has helped her overcome her heartbreak
Patsy Kensit said appearing on 'Strictly Come Dancing' has helped her overcome her heartbreak.
The actress split from her fourth husband, DJ Jeremy Healy, in April this year, but said appearing on the BBC dancing show has helped restore her confidence.
The 42-year-old 'Holby City' actress said: "I have been through a horrible time. When you're young you bounce back a lot quicker but at my age it's harder.
"Each week I feel stronger. I put that down to 'Strictly' and the public confidence in me."
Patsy – who has also been married to musicians Liam Gallagher, Jim Kerr and Dan Donovan – also said she is hapy and won't be looking for love for a while.
She added: "The idea of being intimate with anyone at the moment makes me feel sick.
"I would never say never but a lot of repair needs to happen before I can let another man into my life."
Patsy also said she has made good friends on the show, notably with ex-politician Ann Widdecombe – who last night (30.10.10) was dragged across the floor by partner Anton Du Beke as part of her paso doble routine.
Although Ann has been providing much of a comic element to the show, her partner has warned he doesn't expect her to make its finals.
Anton said: "It is lovely for the show that there is something so entertaining but we will get to the stage where people may vote her off.
"People who are quite accomplished dancers will take over the longer the competition goes on."
'Strictly Come Dancing' will see one of the show's dancing couples voted off tonight (31.10.10)
