Theresa McQueen's shocking ultimatum
Hollyoaks' Theresa McQueen is faced with a shocking ultimatum by her cousin Carmel Valentine, who threatens to report the young mum to the police for Calvin's murder unless she hands over baby Angel
Hollyoaks' Theresa McQueen is to be given a shocking ultimatum by her cousin Carmel Valentine.
The teenage temptress - who killed Carmel's fiancée Calvin after falling pregnant with his child - will be left with facing a future behind bars unless she hands over her newborn baby for her cousin to raise as her own.
Jorgie Porter - who plays Theresa in the Channel 4 soap - explained: "Theresa doesn't want to hand Angel over at all but she's always going to carry the burden of knowing that she killed Calvin (Ricky Whittle) on his wedding day.
"She's desperate to redeem herself, so giving a little piece of him back to Carmel (Gemma Merna) helps to ease her guilt."
When the rest of the McQueen family rally round in an attempt to save Theresa from jail by convincing her handing over Angel is the right thing to do, she agrees to let Carmel take the baby.
Jorgie added to Inside Soap magazine: "Carmel persuades Theresa to hand over the baby - and, deep down, she knows it's the right thing to do.
"Obviously Theresa's pleased and relieved that she's not going to be jailed for life - but she'll always have to worry that Carmel could still decide to turn her in at any moment."
